Crowd Sourcing :-- How TrueCaller Works?



TrueCaller is an open source community that helps you to uniquely identify the details of a particular call and to inform if there is a spam call. But, have you ever thought how a TrueCaller app works, I mean is there a certain kind of magic that a simple and FREE app tells you all the details of a particular caller within a minute.

Well, Today I will tell you how TrueCaller works. First, as you all know when you download some application from a store, before you install it, the app asks you for certain kind of permissions. These permissions include your location,history,gallery,contact list, etc. They ask you like,"Allow this application to access your location(or contact list,gallery,etc)", and you press OK, with providing them all the necessary permissions , they want.
   TrueCaller works in the same way, as first it takes all the permissions(including your Contact information) from all it's USERS and then since TrueCaller has millions of users worldwide, when you search a particular number, the artificial intelligence  system of TrueCaller collects the data from all sources of it's users, who had saved the mobile number that you want to check, and then shows the result on your Server. Now, since different people save different names of a particular number, this is the job of AI system that how it manages and present the most desired output details on your Computer Sever.
  The process by which the Artificial Intelligence System of TrueCaller searches and find out the desired output results, is called "Crowd Sourcing".
